There is SO much to celebrate in Jaguar Nation right now! 🐆✨

🥎 Softball kicked off the week with a huge WIN on Monday!

🏈 Football brought home a VICTORY last night!

⛳ Golf dominated the course and earned a WIN last night!

🎓 Plus, we’ve been showing big love to our incredible 8th Graders all week!

House spirit starts NOW! 🔥

Last week, our Houses welcomed their newest members, and we couldn’t be more excited to officially launch the HOUSE SYSTEM for this school year! 🏰 ✨

Happening this week at Ellis:

Happy World Dream Day! 💙✨
Today, our hallways are a sea of blue as students rep Rêveur — the House of Dreamers! 🌊📘 From big goals to bold ideas, we’re celebrating what it means to reach high, support one another, and turn dreams into reality.

The wait is over! 🙌 While we’re putting the final touches on a few small things, our gym is officially open. It’s so great seeing our students (and teachers!) back in action and enjoying the space! 🏀✨

📣 JAGUAR PRIDE! 💜🧡

A huge shoutout to our incredible Ellis Jaguars Cheerleaders for representing our school with so much heart, energy, and spirit at this weekend's Tri-County Competition! 📣✨

It's a busy week at Ellis!

Hands-on math in action! 🧮🔴🟡

Our 6th graders are leveling up their integer skills! Using integer chips, students are getting a hands-on, concrete look at positive and negative numbers. Building a strong visual foundation will make math so much easier later! 🧠✨

Students officially welcomed our new staff to their Houses today—plus a few surprise House changes for returning staff! ❤️🦁 • 🟧🐯 • 💜🐉 • 💛🦅 • 💙🦄 • 💚🦒

Thank you to everyone who joined us for 6th Grade Parent Night! It was a wonderful evening of connection, questions, and stepping into the next chapter together. Navigating the middle school years is a team effort!💜🧡🐾

🧠✨ We’re excited to partner with Cognition & Impact of the Piedmont for a FREE community event focused on helping students build confidence, skills, and pathways toward future employment.

📸 Don’t forget, Jaguars — Picture Day is Monday!
Lay out those outfits and get those smiles ready. 💜🐆

🧩💜🧡 Puzzle Club kicked off with an amazing turnout! Our Jaguars jumped right in—working together, talking through strategies, and piecing together all kinds of puzzles! 🐆✨

6th Grade ELA was hard at work this week💜📚 Students rotated through engaging stations — rewriting emails to practice strong tone and grammar, visiting the media center to grab new books, and diving into a reading activity. Love seeing our Jaguars learning in so many different ways! 🐾

🟣🟠 OUR JAGS HAVE A LOT TO CELEBRATE! 🟠🟣

What a week for Ellis athletics!
🏈 Football moves to 4–0 after a big win over Mooresville last night.
🎾 Girls Tennis brought home a victory against West Rowan.
🥎 Softball snagged the W against Knox.
⛳ Golf had a strong showing, finishing 2nd in yesterday’s match.

And here’s the best part — nearly 140 of our Jaguars are involved in fall sports, which is almost one‑third of our entire school. That’s incredible involvement, teamwork, and school pride.

Way to go, Jaguars! Keep leading the way! 🐾🟣🟠

Say cheese, Jaguars! 📸🐾
Fall Pictures are happening Monday, September 14.
Homerooms will send home all the details, and families can order online at strawbridge.net with code PX500890.
Let’s make it a picture‑perfect day! 🍂

🟣🟠 Teamwork in Art Today! 🟠🟣
Our Jaguars worked together in the Art room to recreate a drawing — but with a twist! Each student guided the marker only using their piece of yarn, making teamwork the key to success 🐾🎨
